Primary school pupils took a step back in time when they enjoyed a history workshop with students from Burnley High School.
The year fives from St Joseph’s Park Hill were treated to a morning of learning with an emphasis on fun when they looked at the Viking, Roman and Medieval periods with their hosts.
A series of information stations constructed and manned by the high school students kept their young visitors enthralled and entertained while cakes and buns provided welcome refreshments.
BHS teacher Miss Beth Walmsley, one of the organisers of the visit, said: “The year fives were really enthusiastic and joined in with all the activities we had laid on.
“And our students gave a series of terrific presentations highlighting all the work they have undertaken in the past term.”
